After two weeks of running polarized water through hot water heater. All surface corrosion and hard water build up drained out of the hot water heater. This is about 1/10th of amount that drained out.
Now only clear water drains from hot water tank. Notice temperature gauge is lowered to below WARM because more efficient heating caused the water to be too hot.
Three years of hard water buildup looked terrible and 2/3rds of nozzle holes were plugged. Picture was taken with camera phone in order to color match a replacement shower head. It was decided to wait before buying a new shower head.
After two months of running polarized water through the shower. All hard water buildup wiped off using a thumb and all nozzles are running free.
Equipment subject to hard water will have hard water buildup. This normally requires harsh acids to remove hard water buildup.
Polarized water keeps minerals from adhering to equipment. It can be rubbed of with a finger or damp rag.

Lawn killed by Roundup but watered with Polarized Water
Lawn killed by Roundup and watered with normal water. It had to be replaced by developer.
Organic Engineering Associates water conditioning is a method using magnetic and kinetic energy to eliminate the build-up of scale from hard water. It has been shown to dramatically reduce the wear and tear on hot water heaters, evaporative coolers, humidifiers, dish washers, water pumps, and air conditioning equipment -- without the use of harsh chemicals.*
As water moves through the magnetic field, the static charge on the minerals is changed from positive to negative due to current being generated by moving water (Faraday's Law).
Corrosion and scale build-up is prevented because the negatively-charged minerals is now repelled by the negatively-charged pipe.
*According to a Dept. of Energy publication, (DOE/EE0162) magnetic technology can be used as a replacement for most water softening equipment.

The magnetic or electrostatic scale
control technologies can be used as a
replacement for most water-softening
equipment. Specifically, chemical
softening (lime or lime-soda softening),
ion exchange, and reverse osmosis,
when used for the control of hardness,
could potentially be replaced by the
non-chemical water conditioning
technology.

While the evidence supporting the technologies may be thought of as mainly anecdotal, the fact remains that upon visual inspection after installation of these devices the formation of new scale deposits has been inhibited. In addition, in most cases, scale deposits present within the system at the time of installation have been removed…..Probably the most significant general trend in water treatment is the move away from chemical-based treatment technologies. This trend has begun at the consumer level, is becoming apparent at the corporate level, and will continue to grow. Increased availability of information on technologies, the environment, and human health will only serve to feed this trend.
